My apologies for the Christmas Parade video. I set up where I thought I could get a shot of the band playing a Christmas song.. but.. all I got was the cadence.. then I had to run along side the band trying to catch up to get what little I did get of them playing. Sorry, I tried.

Dallas Cowboys vs NY Jets Thanksgiving Day
CHS Band Performed At Halftime with Kelly Clarkson

|

The Coppell High School Band was part of the halftime performance starring Kelly Clarkson during the Cowboys vs Jets game at Texas Stadium on Thanksgiving Day. This was the kickoff of the Annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive. The entire halftime show was broadcast on national TV. Below are links to pictures from the first day of rehearsal to the actual performance in Texas Stadium on Thanksgiving day where the temperature plummeted, it rained, it snowed, the wind blew... in short, everything we did not need to happen, happened as far as the weather was concerned but... WE MADE IT! And it LOOKED GREAT!

| CHS Performs at BOA San Antonio |
|
It was good news, bad news for the Coppell High School Marching Band at the Bands of America competition in San Antonio. The bad news was that we did not make the finals. The good news is that our performance at BOA was the best performance in years. The band sounded great, they looked great and they were GREAT! There is more to this story and you will hear about it at the next booster meeting. Winning is great but it's not all important.
Time to say Thank You!
As with any undertaking of this nature, moving 300+ kids from Coppell to a far away location, it could not have happened without the efforts of dedicated band boosters. To those who drove the equipment trucks, the chaperones, and so many more who work quietly and often without public recognition for what they do, thanks to all of you! Everyone is important and everyone counts in making sure the band is ready to perform and safe during the trip.

| 4th of July Parade Pictures |

The weather cooperated and the 4th of July Parade came off dry and on time. It was hot and very muggy but well worth it to see the band again. The only thing missing was Mr. Pace but he's enjoying retirement. Click here to see a few pictures from the parade.
